Ralph Beaver Strassburger (1883-1959) was a prominent businessman born in Norristown, Pennsylvania. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, he entered the Navy as a young man, and later entered the diplomatic service during World War I. Ralph B. Strassburger was born in Norristown, Pa., on Mar. 26, 1883. He received his preliminary education in the public and private schools of Norristown. He attended the Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, N.H., and in 1901 was appointed to the United States Naval Academy. After his graduation in 1905, Strassburger was assigned to cruiser duty until 1909 when he resigned from the Navy to become manager of a boiler manufacturer.
